Position: Electrician
Location: Chunya, Mbeya Region, Tanzania
Role Overview
Amet Resources is seeking an experienced Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems on the mining site and processing plant. The role covers high- and low-voltage systems, motors, MCCs, generators, lighting, wiring, and control panels.
The position requires:

Hands-on experience in mining or heavy industrial settings

Strict adherence to safety standards

Ability to work in remote, fast-paced conditions

Proficiency in Swahili and English
Accommodation is provided at the company camp. Employees must comply with HSE rules and the company’s zero-tolerance policy on alcohol and drugs.
What you will do
-
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on equipment, plant machinery, workshops, and camp facilities

Troubleshoot and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, panels, MCCs, VFDs, wiring, and distribution boards

Conduct inspections and ensure safety compliance

Service generators, backup systems, and switchgear
-
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals

Follow lock-out/tag-out and electrical safety procedures
-
Support commissioning, calibration, and integration of new equipment
-
Respond promptly to electrical emergencies to minimize downtime

Maintain records of maintenance, inspections, and parts usage
-
Collaborate with mechanics, operators, and supervisors
-
Report hazards and unsafe conditions

Perform additional tasks as assigned
What we are looking for
-
Over 10 years of experience in electrical engineering
-
Experience in the mining sector preferred

Team player with responsibility and discipline
-
Fluent in English and Swahili
