Hotel Verde Zanzibar – Azam Luxury Resort & Spa
Is inviting applications for the position of Assistant Accountant. This is a full-time, entry-level role, ideal for a recent graduate who is ready to begin a career in finance and accounting within the hospitality sector.
We are looking for a motivated individual who has a keen eye for detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work as part of a professional team. At Hotel Verde, you will gain hands-on experience in day-to-day accounting tasks while contributing to the smooth running of our resort operations.
About the Role
As an Assistant Accountant, you will support the finance department in maintaining accurate records and ensuring transactions are handled efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
- Recording and reconciling supplier and vendor invoices
- Managing petty cash transactions and reconciliations
- Preparing bank transfer vouchers and assisting with related documentation
- Supporting the finance team with general administrative and reporting tasks when required
This role offers an excellent foundation for building a long-term career in accounting.
What We’re Looking For
The position is designed for applicants who are at the start of their careers. While prior experience is not required, the following skills and attributes will be an advantage:
- A degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time management skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
