About the Role
Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd is offering an exciting career opportunity within our Manufacturing Department. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Team Leader – Packaging to join our team in Mbeya. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our packaging operations run smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The successful candidate will report directly to the Manufacturing Manager.
What You’ll Do
As Team Leader – Packaging, you will be responsible for delivering the production plan while maintaining operational excellence. You’ll guide your team, ensure equipment reliability, troubleshoot issues quickly, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Executing the production plan while meeting quality, cost, delivery, and safety objectives.
- Leading autonomous maintenance and routine care of equipment to optimise uptime.
- Identifying and resolving production issues efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Carrying out work practice assessments and line checks to drive operational consistency.
- Coaching, motivating, and supporting your team to achieve set targets and improve performance.
- Reviewing and approving shift performance results across Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety indicators.
- Ensuring all safety standards are adhered to and promoting a safe workplace culture.
- Keeping accurate production records and completing administrative reports as required.
- Working closely with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to implement process improvements.
- Facilitating clear communication between shifts and departments for smooth handovers.
What We’re Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A qualified artisan with at least three years of technical and leadership experience, ideally in the FMCG sector.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and develop teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- A high level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.
