Position Summary
Watu Credit is hiring an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Coordination Officer to strengthen its sustainability and compliance efforts. The officer will work directly with the ESG Lead and other departments to ensure the company’s policies and operations meet international standards on environmental care, social responsibility, and good governance.
This role is perfect for someone who is organised, analytical, and passionate about sustainability.
Main Responsibilities

Monitoring & Reporting
Collect, analyse, and share data on Watu’s ESG activities. Support the preparation of reports and keep records updated. -
Policy Support
Help review and update company ESG policies and align them with new regulations and global best practices. -
Project Coordination
Oversee ESG-related projects, monitor progress, and highlight areas for improvement. -
Engagement
Work with employees, regulators, investors, and community groups to raise awareness of Watu’s sustainability goals. -
Risk Management
Identify ESG risks, propose solutions, and ensure compliance measures are implemented. -
Communication
Prepare materials such as presentations, newsletters, and reports to share ESG progress with stakeholders.
What You’ll Need

Education: A bachelor’s degree in sustainability, environmental studies, social sciences, business, or a related field.

Experience: At least 2 years of practical work in ESG, sustainability, or compliance—experience in financial services or mobility is an advantage.

Skills:

Strong Excel and reporting skills (knowledge of Power BI or Tableau is a plus).

Understanding of ESG reporting frameworks like GRI or SASB.

Good writing, policy drafting, and research abilities.

Strong organisational and project management skills.
