Eskom has announced that it’s looking for six new learners to join its Artisan Learnership Programme for 2025/2026. For young South Africans who want to build a career in either electrical or mechanical trades, this is a rare chance to get hands-on training inside one of the country’s most important industries.

What You’ll Need to Qualify
Eskom is opening its doors to candidates with a solid background in maths, science, and trade subjects. There are a few pathways to qualify:
- If you’ve completed a National N6 Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical trade subjects, you’re eligible.
- Applicants with N4 or N5 trade certificates can also apply.
- For those with Grade 12 or equivalent, you’ll need at least 50% in Maths and Physical Science, plus 40% in English.
- An N3 or NCV Level 4 with the same marks also meets the entry requirements.
Most importantly, you must be a South African citizen.
