Job Overview
Onfon Microfinance is looking for a Human Resources Officer to join its team in Tanzania. The HR Officer will support the organisation’s people management functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance with labour laws, and HR documentation. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can balance administrative duties with building a supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the recruitment and onboarding process.

Maintain up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.

Support performance management and staff development initiatives.

Ensure compliance with Tanzanian labour laws and HR policies.

Handle employee relations issues and provide HR guidance to staff.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in Human Resources.

Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HR software is an advantage.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
