Sega Girls’ Secondary School serves approximately 280 students from Form I–IV, with more than half receiving full scholarships. The school aims to provide high-quality, holistic education that nurtures academic excellence, strong values, confidence, independent thinking, leadership, entrepreneurship, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship.
Job Summary
SEGA Girls’ Secondary School is looking for a committed and capable Laboratory Technician to support the science department. The role involves ensuring the smooth running of laboratory operations and assisting both teachers and students during practical lessons.
What you will do
-
Prepare and organize laboratory equipment and materials for experiments.

Assist science teachers during practical sessions.

Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety within the laboratory.

Conduct regular maintenance and inventory of laboratory tools, chemicals, and apparatus.

Ensure adherence to all laboratory health and safety regulations.

Provide technical support for science projects, exhibitions, and related activities.
What we are looking for
-
Diploma or Degree in Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.

At least 3 years of experience working in a school or educational laboratory.

Strong understanding of laboratory safety procedures and standards.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.
-
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
-
Proficiency in both spoken and written Swahili and English.
