Flavius Mareka TVET College, in partnership with AGRISETA, is offering an exciting opportunity for young South Africans who are passionate about agriculture. The Plant Production Learnership (NQF Level 3) is designed to equip participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in crop and plant production — setting them on the path toward a sustainable career in the agricultural sector.
This structured programme runs over 8 to 12 months, combining classroom learning with hands-on training to develop future farmers, agribusiness professionals, and agricultural entrepreneurs. It’s a meaningful step for anyone eager to make a real contribution to food security and sustainable farming practices in South Africa.
About the Learnership
The Plant Production Learnership provides a unique opportunity for young people to gain valuable experience in one of the country’s most essential industries. Learners will receive high-quality training at the Kroonstad Campus of Flavius Mareka TVET College, where experienced facilitators and agricultural experts will guide them.
Beyond improving employability, the programme also encourages self-employment by preparing participants for potential careers in commercial or small-scale farming, agribusiness management, and rural development.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Must be unemployed at the time of application.

Must be a South African citizen between the ages of 18 and 35.

Must hold a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.

Having an agricultural background or related experience will be an added advantage.
