Magalies Water continues its commitment to youth development by inviting young South Africans to apply for the 2026 Bursary Programme. This initiative is aimed at supporting talented students from disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them pursue studies in scarce and critical fields that are vital to South Africa’s growth and development.
The bursary not only funds education but also empowers students to build meaningful careers while contributing to the nation’s water sector and broader economy.
Fields of Study
Bursaries are available for students intending to study at accredited South African institutions in the following areas:

Mechanical Engineering (N4–N6 / Diploma / B Degree) – 2 bursaries

Electrical Engineering (N4–N6 / Diploma / B Degree) – 2 bursaries

Civil Engineering (N4–N6 / Diploma / B Degree) – 2 bursaries

Water Care (Diploma / Advanced Diploma) – 2 bursaries

Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry (Diploma / B Degree) – 2 bursaries

Biotechnology / Microbiology (Diploma / B Degree) – 2 bursaries

Financial Accounting (B Degree) – 2 bursaries

Who Should Apply
The bursary programme is open to:

South African citizens aged 18 to 35 years

Learners who achieved at least 65% average in Grade 12

Individuals from previously disadvantaged backgrounds

Preference will be given to females and people with disabilities

Applicants must be eligible to register or already enrolled at a recognised South African university, university of technology, or college

Grade 11 and Matric results (if currently in Matric)
