Minimum Requirements

Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or National Diploma in the relevant discipline (HR, ICT, Town Planning, Environmental Health, Social Development, Finance, Legal Studies, Electrical Engineering, Water Care, etc.).
- Academic record confirming completion of theoretical studies and the requirement for in-service training (where applicable).
For Firefighter Internships:
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Firefighter I and II Courses
- Hazmat Awareness & Operations Certificate
- First Aid Level 3
General:
- Must be an unemployed South African citizen.
- Willingness to work in municipal offices and participate in community-based services.
Placement Structure

Interns will be placed across different municipal offices and units to ensure wide service coverage:
- Corporate Services / Head Office – multiple posts
- Community and Safety Services – Fire & Safety posts
- Planning and Economic Development – 5 posts
- Technical Services – 10 posts
- Satellite Unit Offices: Emanzana, Elukwatini, Empuluzi, and Ekulindeni
