Role Overview
Barrick Gold Corporation is looking for a Finance Manager to join the leadership team at Bulyanhulu Gold Mine. This is a key role that blends strategic oversight with hands-on financial management. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving performance, ensuring compliance, and embedding the Barrick DNA across the Finance function.

What You’ll Do
As Finance Manager, you will be central to supporting the General Manager and site operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Financial Leadership: Provide tools and insights that guide decision-making and improve performance across the mine.
- Cash & Working Capital Management: Oversee accounts receivable/payable, cash operations, and ensure strong controls are in place.
- Cost Control: Partner with budget holders to monitor spending, reduce inefficiencies, and meet cost targets.
- Reporting & Analysis: Deliver timely performance analysis, board presentations, and management reports to support better planning.
- Financial Planning: Lead budgeting, forecasting, feasibility studies, and long-term planning tied to the Life of Mine Plan.
- Capital & Project Management: Optimise capital allocation, review investment requests, and monitor project expenditure.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Barrick’s financial, capital, and environmental management systems.
- Team Development: Coach, mentor, and empower finance staff while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA (T) or equivalent, with registration under NBAA.
- At least 10 years of senior-level financial management experience, preferably in mining or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, reporting tools, and MS Office.
- Proven experience in cost control, capital management, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, site-based environment.
- A commitment to ethical leadership, accountability, and developing others.
