    Minimum Requirements

    Education:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or National Diploma in the relevant discipline (HR, ICT, Town Planning, Environmental Health, Social Development, Finance, Legal Studies, Electrical Engineering, Water Care, etc.).

    • Academic record confirming completion of theoretical studies and the requirement for in-service training (where applicable).

    For Firefighter Internships:

    • Grade 12 Certificate

    • Firefighter I and II Courses

    • Hazmat Awareness & Operations Certificate

    • First Aid Level 3

    General:

    • Must be an unemployed South African citizen.

    • Willingness to work in municipal offices and participate in community-based services.

    Placement Structure

    Interns will be placed across different municipal offices and units to ensure wide service coverage:

    • Corporate Services / Head Office – multiple posts

    • Community and Safety Services – Fire & Safety posts

    • Planning and Economic Development – 5 posts

    • Technical Services – 10 posts

    • Satellite Unit Offices: Emanzana, Elukwatini, Empuluzi, and Ekulindeni
