Msando HR Solutions is recruiting an Assistant Quality & Asset Manager to help a leading hotel uphold brand standards, maximise asset performance, and deliver reliable, high-quality guest experiences. The role blends quality assurance, preventive maintenance, compliance, and continuous improvement, with close collaboration across Engineering, Housekeeping, Front Office, and Operations.
What you’ll do
Quality Management
- Implement and monitor quality assurance programs that align with brand standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house to verify cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards.
- Analyse guest feedback, online reviews, and audit results to spot trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Support departments with CAPA (corrective and preventive action) plans; coach teams on service, hygiene, and quality procedures.
- Maintain simple, timely reporting that turns checks and audits into clear, actionable insights.
Asset Management
- Maintain an up-to-date asset register (equipment, FF&E, and technical systems).
- Plan and track preventive and corrective maintenance to extend asset life and minimise downtime.
- Coordinate with Engineering/Housekeeping to ensure proper use, documentation, and handover of assets.
- Support CAPEX and refurbishment tracking, ensuring scope, cost, and timeline discipline.
- Report on asset condition, lifecycle costs, and replacement priorities.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental laws and brand requirements.
- Participate in risk assessments, fire drills, and sustainability initiatives.
- Assist with ISO/HACCP or other quality systems where applicable; maintain audit-ready records.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–3+ years in quality assurance, hotel operations, or facilities/asset management (luxury or five-star preferred).
- Strong knowledge of hotel standards and preventive maintenance practices.
- Excellent organisation, analysis, problem-solving, and cross-department communication.
- Proficiency with MS Office and hotel/maintenance systems (e.g., Opera, FCS, HotSOS, Maximo).
- Detail-driven mindset with commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
How success will be measured
- Inspection scores, guest-feedback trends, and audit outcomes.
- Preventive maintenance compliance and reduced unplanned downtime.
- Accuracy of the asset register and quality of lifecycle reporting.
- Execution of CAPEX/refurbishment tasks against plan.
- Adoption of CAPA actions and improved operational consistency across departments.
