Position: Inventory & Stock Controller

Job Purpose

The Inventory & Stock Controller will be responsible for monitoring and managing stock levels, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring proper handling of goods to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Record all incoming and outgoing stock accurately in the POS/system.
• Keep stock levels updated and reconcile regularly with physical counts.
• Monitor stock re-order levels and notify management when restocking is required.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts.
• Ensure stock is safely stored, well-labelled, and systematically arranged.
• Supervise stock issuance to sales or store staff based on approved orders.
• Verify deliveries from suppliers against invoices and delivery notes.
• Prepare stock reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Report discrepancies, damages, or theft immediately.
• Provide analysis of stock movement, including fast and slow-moving items.
• Ensure stock records align with accounting and financial reports.
• Follow company procedures for stock handling and issuing.
• Support auditors and management during stock verification exercises.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Accounting.
• Experience with POS systems, inventory software, and barcode systems.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Honest, disciplined, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
