About the Programme

The Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), through its Labour Activation Programme (LAP), in partnership with We Invest Africa (Pty) Ltd, is offering unemployed South Africans the opportunity to join learnerships and skills development programmes for 2025/2026.

These programmes are designed to address unemployment by equipping participants with qualifications, hands-on training, and marketable skills in sectors critical to South Africa’s growth — such as agriculture, construction, ICT, environmental practices, and entrepreneurship.

Each intake will host 30 unemployed participants, with training running for 12 months and combining both classroom learning and workplace experience.
