STAMIGOLD Company Limited, a subsidiary of the State Mining Corporation (STAMICO), operates a gold mine in the Biharamulo Forest Reserve, southwest of Mwanza in the Kagera Region. To strengthen its operations, the company is inviting applications from experienced and qualified Tanzanians to join the team at the Biharamulo Mine Site.
This opportunity follows a 6-week on, 3-week off work roster, offering professionals the chance to contribute to one of Tanzania’s leading gold mining operations.
Position: Senior Geologist (1 Post)
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare work plans for mine grade control, sampling, and monitoring.

Support geologists in ore delineation and blocking to minimise ore loss and dilution.

Ensure ore reserve and resource estimates are accurate and up to date.

Implement quality control practices for effective resource recovery.

Develop reporting functions and programs for cost and commitment forecasts.

Monitor drilling performance and geology contractors.
-
Collaborate with the Mining Department on site preparation and activities.

Work closely with the Mining and Processing teams to sustain project development.

Promote compliance with Tanzanian governing agencies and STAMIGOLD standards.

Develop succession planning and support localisation initiatives.

Assist the Chief Mine Geologist in optimising ore delivery to the mill.

Act as the Chief Geologist in their absence.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a related field from a recognised institution.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in exploration, mining operations, or gold processing.

Knowledge of mine and geology software packages.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, or other database systems.
