About the Programme
The Competition Commission South Africa is inviting ambitious and talented graduates to apply for its Cadet Graduate Training Programme 2025–2027.
This 24-month programme is designed to equip graduates with hands-on experience in competition law, economics, governance, and related fields while contributing meaningfully to South Africa’s economic transformation.
The programme aligns with the Commission’s Vision 2030 — building a Competitive, Dynamic, Deconcentrated, and Inclusive economy that benefits all South Africans.
Successful cadets will not only gain training and mentorship but may also have the opportunity to apply for further growth positions within the Commission once the programme is completed.

Who We’re Looking For
We want dynamic, hardworking, and committed individuals who demonstrate both academic ability and passion for public service.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen
- No prior working experience in the same field
- Completed an Honours degree in one of the following fields:
- Human Resource Management
- Human Capital / Organisational Development
- Public Policy / Governance
- Economics
- Accounting / Finance
- Law (Legal Studies)
- Strong academic record (70% average or higher is advantageous)
- Evidence of active involvement in initiatives, leadership, or community service
- Strong analytical, research, and investigative skills
- Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy
