As an M-Pesa Insights & Reporting Analyst, you will play a key role in evaluating M-Pesa performance, generating actionable insights, and enabling more intelligent business decisions through data analysis and reporting. What You’ll Do
Role Purpose
- Evaluate and report on overall M-Pesa performance.
- Conduct product and market analysis.
- Improve existing reports and design new ones to meet business and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver actionable insights in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure timely and accurate business intelligence reporting.
Key Accountabilities
- Business Insights & Analysis
- Track and analyse key performance indicators.
- Perform advanced data analysis to identify trends and anomalies.
- Translate findings into clear business recommendations.
- Build predictive models and run statistical analysis.
- Prepare reports and presentations for commercial teams and management.
- Dashboard & Reporting Automation
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards.
- Automate reporting processes for speed and accuracy.
- Build self-service tools to empower non-technical users.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting needs.
- Present insights in a clear, compelling, and visual way.
- Train commercial teams on dashboard use.
What We’re Looking For
Core Competencies & Experience
- Excellent analytical and logical reasoning skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to anticipate market and customer dynamics.
- Confidence to challenge the status quo.
- Experience in data analytics, BI development, or a related field.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database querying.
- Hands-on experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Qlik Sense).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language for analytics (Python, R).
- Familiarity with big data platforms (e.g., AWS).
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis techniques.
Soft Skills
- Problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail.
- Strong storytelling and data presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
