Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Audit daily loan systems and approval processes.
- Reconcile loan repayments and disbursements daily.
- Identify, report, and resolve discrepancies quickly and accurately.
- Prepare final books of accounts and conduct audits aligned with company policy and auditing standards.
- Provide actionable recommendations to management for process improvement.
- Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with departments to build a strong culture of internal controls.
Qualifications and Experience
We are seeking candidates with:
- CPA (T) certification or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 1 year of internal audit experience, ideally in microfinance, banking, or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of auditing principles, risk management, and financial reporting.
- Experience in preparing financial statements for financial institutions.
- Solid understanding of Tanzanian financial regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced), financial software, and accounting systems.
Skills We Value
- Advanced Excel and data analysis (pivot tables, big data reporting).
- Strong IT and computing skills.
- Ability to handle large datasets and spot risk patterns.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
- Strong follow-up and organizational skills.
- Prior experience in microfinance is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing audit-related activities.
