Role Overview
The HR Officer plays a pivotal role in supporting the school’s strategic and operational objectives through effective people management. This position oversees HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and organizational development. The HR Officer ensures that policies align with Tanzanian labour laws and international HR standards, while fostering a supportive and professional work environment.
Key Responsibilities

Administer HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, leave management, and performance evaluations.

Ensure compliance with labour laws, school policies, and HR best practices.

Provide guidance to staff and management on employee relations and HR policies.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and systems.

Support professional development programs and training initiatives.

Collaborate with leadership to promote employee engagement, productivity, and well-being.
Qualifications & Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

At least 3 years of proven HR experience, ideally within education or service-oriented organizations.

Strong knowledge of Tanzanian labour laws and HR practices.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Proficiency with HR systems, databases, and MS Office applications.
